Reseller Features

Enkompass provides you, as a web host, plenty of handy features for creating, managing, and limiting reseller accounts. These helpful functions are also available to resellers themselves, if you decide to allow access to them.

Offer both website hosting and reseller hosting

Use Enkompass to create accounts for both website owners and resellers. This flexibility provides unlimited options for selling hosting plans.

Communicate via Website Owner (WSO) News

The Modify WSO News feature lets you broadcast important updates to all website owners on your server. These messages will appear inside customers' Web Site Owner interfaces. This lets you share information about system updates, marketing messages, or maintenance bulletins.

Resellers can also send messages to their own customers.

 

Monitor bandwidth usage

With Enkompass, you can generate useful, easy-to-read bandwidth reports, so you can accurately analyze the bandwidth used by your customers. The reports are separated by the type of service used (such as mail, FTP, web, etc.).

Install SSL certificates

You and your resellers can set up your customers' Web Site Owner accounts to allow them to generate their own certificate signing requests (CSRs) and keys for purchasing SSL certificates. Then, they can order them from their favorite SSL provider.

Alternatively, customers can generate self-signed requests.

Easily manage reseller accounts

The Enkompass Reseller Center offers easy control of all your reseller accounts. You can:

• Set roles for resellers. This includes exhaustive control over the Enkompass features that resellers will be allowed to access.
• Set account creation limits. You can limit resellers by the number of accounts they can create, or by resource usage.
• Configure resources. Assign database servers, mail servers, IP addresses, and web servers, or set privileges (roles).
• Suspend and unsuspend reseller accounts.
• Email resellers. Keep your resellers informed by sending an email to an individual reseller using the Email icon for that reseller. Or, you can email all resellers by clicking the Email All button.

In addition, this interface provides a handy search option, which makes it easier to find the account you wish to manage.

Manage reseller roles

From the Reseller Center screen, you can configure a reseller's Enkompass privileges.

You can either use an existing role (i.e., set of features), or create a new one. Then, you can select specific Enkompass features that the reseller will be allowed to access.

You can also confer Admin Privileges — that is, the same privileges that you, the server owner, have. You can also name this role so that you can easily assign it to other users later.

Set account creation limits

From the Reseller Center screen, click Limits to allot resellers as much or as little disk space and bandwidth as you like. You can also allocate IP addresses to resellers.

The Enkompass Reseller Center lets you limit the resellers by the number of accounts they can create, or by resource usage.

Configure reseller resources

When you click Resources from the Reseller Center, Enkompass allows you to assign database servers, mail servers, IP addresses, and web servers to your resellers. You can also use this screen to set reseller privileges (roles).

Likewise, the Mail Servers tab lets you assign mail servers that a reseller can, in turn, assign to his or her users.

The IP Addresses tab lets you view available IPs, and allocate and deallocate IPs for a reseller.

The Web Servers tab lets you allocate and deallocate web servers for resellers.

The Manage Roles tab lets you assign roles (that is, privileges) to a reseller, and designate roles which that reseller can, in turn, assign to his or her customers.

Suspend or unsuspend resellers

The Reseller Center provides an easy, intuitive way to suspend or unsuspend reseller accounts. Simply click the appropriate icon and confirm your choice.

The Suspend Accounts confirmation screen lets you suspend resellers and their users. The Unsuspend Accounts feature works the same way.

Email a reseller

You can send email to a specific reseller right from the Reseller Center. Simply click Email and a mail form appears. Fill it out and click Send.

You can also email all resellers by clicking the Email All button on the main Reseller Center screen.

Terminate a reseller

Terminating a reseller's account is a simple process. From the Reseller Center, you click the Terminate icon, and confirm the termination.

Promote and demote users

You can turn website owners into resellers, and vice versa, using the Enkompass Promote/Demote Users screen.

Change the owner of an account

The Enkompass Change Owner feature makes it easy to move website owner or sub-reseller accounts from one reseller to another.

With Enkompass, you can easily see how the accounts on your server are configured. The Show Reseller Accounts screen displays all your resellers, as well as their sub-users and your end users.

The Show Reseller Accounts interface displays all the reseller and end-user accounts under your account.
