This session will focus on advanced aspects of branding the cPanel/ WHM interface. Major topics to be covered include customizing the webmail interface, custom login and logout screens as well as advanced capabilities of the branding editor. Also, tools will be discussed that make customizing the cPanel interface substantially easier. At the conclusion of this session you will be able to significantly customize the appearance of cPanel/WHM including creating custom icon and sections and being able to turn the X3 theme into a fluid layout.
Back to Top ↑This presentation will cover the basic concepts, organization and tools available for working with the new Apache configuration system. Special attention will be paid to common workflows for customizing httpd.conf and the new configuration system's integration with the EasyApache 3 build system.
Back to Top ↑This talk will focus on the overall organization of PHP related configuration files, pros and cons of the available methods for serving PHP pages, and the available PHP extensions. We will cover issues such as configuring a particular version of PHP as the default for an account, handling php.ini customization for individual accounts, and resolving common problems. The talk will end with discussion of PHP 6 and other planned improvements to cPanel's PHP configuration system.
Back to Top ↑This course will discuss recent security threats, and demonstrate the life cycle of an example threat as well as the impact on the server, end users and the hosting provider. The recent Javascript Toolkit and the well known IFRAME injections will be discussed in detail along with examples and demonstrations of each threat. The discussion will include a detailed look at the tools used by the attackers to accomplish the exploit, how the server and its functionality is affected and the overall impact to the end user.
Back to Top ↑Presents key design goals that guide the EasyApache and Apache Configuration development. A brief discussion highlighting the differences between EasyApache 1 and EasyApache 3 is followed by the basics of using EasyApache, for example using various flags to change behavior for both the command line and WHM versions. Concludes with an overview of the other EasyApache 3 presentations.
Back to Top ↑A discussion of the build process as a whole and how to customize it using Option Modules. Includes a simple example of developing a custom Option Module. Presentation concludes by addressing the various tools and methods to trouble shoot the build process.
Back to Top ↑This presentation focuses on the possibilities when integrating your hosting business with cPanel. A demonstration of account provisioning, server provisioning, custom login screen and branded will be provided to show how to make cPanel / WHM a seamless part of your hosting business. Sample code to apply these techniques will be provided but you won't need to be a developer/code to attend and get value out of this presentation.
Back to Top ↑What to know about offering ASP.NET capabilities to your customers, the caveats and configuration needs. Includes tips and techniques on troubleshooting and specialized configuration needs.
Back to Top ↑In this component of the application server symposium, we'll be taking a look at the Tomcat implementation provided with cPanel, and how you can use it to deploy JSP/Servlet support for your users.
Back to Top ↑Integration with cPanel is easy! Learn how to use custom hooks, automatically provision licenses, interface with WHM and cPanel APIs and more!
Back to Top ↑Localization is one of the most important and most complex components of software. It's how your software communicates with its users. It involves much more than translation; it involves conveying ideas, culture, and many locale nuances.
This presentation will start with a brief overview of localization including some positives and negatives with various popular methods. Next it will show how cPanel's upcoming localization system will address every possible localization need. Not only will it work well; it will be easy to work with. That includes developers, designers, translators, hosts, and, most importantly your customers!
So come see what this fascinating subject is all about and see if you can come up with a localization issue it won't address!
Back to Top ↑cPanel Server Suite (cPSS) is designed to control web hosting on multiple servers in a Windows® Active Directory Domain while maintaining the familiar cPanel and Web Host Manager interfaces.
This talk will introduce you to the distributed hosting architecture that cPSS supports and will demonstrate the product. We will briefly discuss these topics that you will need to consider when designing your web hosting architecture:
The dynamic of this presentation consists of two different correlated sections. The initial session will include a general introduction to Exim, discussing its internal architecture, core components and correlated cPanel integration. The secondary session addresses alternatives to fight SPAM. It includes topics such as SpamAssassin, Account Level Filtering, RBLs, Boxtrapper, OpenSPF, Domain Keys, DKIM and ASSP. Material will be presented considering the GUI and CLI approach.
Back to Top ↑The essence of this presentation is to provide an overall guide when it comes to transferring accounts. Although cPanel to cPanel will be covered, the focus is targeted towards migrations from other Control Panels such as Plesk, Ensim, DirectAdmin, among others. Discussion of common issues, pitfalls, workarounds, etc. Current developing stage and future of the cPanel Transfer System. Open forum to discuss feedback in regards the current transfer scripts, comments and suggestions will be facilitated to the transfer developers.
Back to Top ↑In this session we'll be taking a look at ways you can manage your cPanel system from the command line. We'll also be be reviewing unconventional troubleshooting methods, including how to analyze process behavior with debugging various debugging utilities.
Back to Top ↑The Future of Server Backup: near-Continuous Data Protection
On today's Linux and Windows servers, rapid data growth poses serious challenges - with shrinking backup windows, reduced recovery time objectives and decreasing tolerance for data loss. Organizations and data centers require data protection solutions that deliver automatic, fast, and efficient data protection as well as bare metal restore. This section will provide an overview of backup options for servers and help you evaluate those options picking the right tool for the job. Learn how continuous data protection technology (CDP) is the future of server data protection.
